Caraga achieves 42,000 hectares of organic area

IMG_1836Department of Agriculture – Caraga recently reported that as of December 2016, the region already achieved at least 6% or 42,000 hectares of agricultural land cultivated through organic farming.

This figure shows that the Department already attained its target for at least 5% or 35,000 hectares in the region from 2013 to 2017. PRDP Approves P1.5B Infra Projects for Caraga

Butuan City, Philippines – The I-BUILD or the infrastructure component of the Project reflects that the total indicative portfolio of approved subprojects for Mindanao Cluster reached P7 billion which P1.5 billion belongs to Caraga, this is a total of 21% of the portfolio or a total of 22 subprojects for the region.

Despite the rigorous process prior to the implementation of the project, there are already five farm-to-market roads that are under implementation in the municipalities of Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte and Talacogon, Esperanza, and Veruela, Agusan del Sur. DA–Caraga now ready for calamities

Butuan City, Philippines – Department of Agriculture (DA) spearheads the Basic Incident Command System (ICS) Training to institutionalize the system in the region in cooperation with the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD).
